title: The Discord Layers

Amy's Discord presence is not one big extrovert social graph. It's layered.

The Pattern

Big public/professional servers = mostly observing. Vizcom, AI Wearables, xApple—she's present, monitoring, but not publicly performing. Passive industry surveillance. Ambient market intelligence.

Startup/workflow spaces = she creates structure. On August 29, 2024, she created the Mobius Discord and seeded it herself: "hey! this is the discord channel to chat daily workflow stuff", "tech updates!", "marketing updates!", "fun chats - im eating a salad rn". Nobody used it. She built team infrastructure and the team didn't meet her there.

Maker spaces = she becomes practical and offers help. At Noisebridge on January 9, 2026, she volunteered for an industrial knitting machine project: "@Jet @Jess i can try helping too" and "with knitting machine". Someone replied "Who are you? I'd love help ❤️". Newcomer energy. Less CEO cosplay, more person who likes making stuff.

Tiny private servers = where real Amy shows up. SF Rats with Maddie—sparse but intimate. The rats server with dwight_nixon—rat-themed channels, late-night energy. In one channel she eventually says "Idk if this server thing is working" and "Can we just dm". Build tiny infrastructure, then bypass it when real conversation matters more.

Key Artifacts

December 7, 2024: In the rats server #cheesewhispers, Amy shared a screenshot labeled "Boys of my love life". This places her in a playful, still-shopping-around dating phase right before Nalin enters the picture on December 18.

August-September 2024: Cinnamon was still present in the Mobius server in early September 2024. Any claim that Cinnamon was fully gone by mid-2024 is too clean.

October 23, 2024: The KnotTheory DM where Amy said "i wasted my life" and "my life has been hell", then "we trust each other and dont lie" about Elena.

September 26, 2025: The limina DM where Amy said "i need to tell her asap" about a cofounder conversation.

What It Means

Amy joins a lot of communities, posts very selectively, lurks a ton. When she actively shapes a space, it's usually because she's trying to create structure, help with something practical, or share private personal stuff in tiny side rooms.

Presence in a server ≠ belonging. A search hit ≠ authored content.
