Amy's romantic history follows a pattern of intensity, rejection, recovery, and escalation.
The Sequence
Julian Lee (2021): listed as "partner" on a rental application during the Apple era. No other trace exists. He is the gap in the record.
Diego Celis (October 2021 - August 2023): the most domestic relationship. Shared apartment in Menlo Park, pet cat, Runescape, Spanish, daily routines. 12,496 messages. He broke up with her. His final message from New York: "don't let anyone treat you poorly or take advantage of you."
Suki (May - July 2024): 2.5 months. Stanford mechE connected through Cinnamon Sipper's circle. Amy caught feelings. Suki didn't reciprocate. "I'm sorry about the rescheduling and making you feel like a fool." The burst pattern: zero to 4,000 messages to zero.
Gui (June - November 2024): Hinge match. Escalated to FWB within weeks. Brazilian, philosophical, shared Bukowski poems. The physical relationship ended; the emotional one continued. In January 2026 he clarified: "I wasn't hitting on you. I want us to be friends. ❤️" The cleanest exit of any significant relationship in Amy's documented life.
Nalin Semwal (December 2024 - present): first text December 18, 2024. "I have a crush on u" May 3, 2025. "I love you" July 7, 2025. "I do wanna marry u for sure. Before we're 30" November 15, 2025. The most documented relationship in the archive.
The Pattern
After Diego (who left), Amy pursued Suki (who didn't reciprocate) and Gui (who reciprocated physically but not romantically). Both situations involved Amy being the one who wanted more. The vulnerability of catching feelings and being the one left wanting.
With Nalin, the dynamic inverted. The interest was mutual from early on. His insecurities are about jealousy and inexperience, not about whether he wants to be with her. For the first time in the documented record, Amy is the one who is wanted back without ambiguity.
The fights with Nalin, all eight of them, are about how to be in a relationship, not whether to be in one. That's different from everything that came before.
The July 2024 Assault
In July 2024, during the gap between Suki and Gui's emotional peak, Amy was sexually assaulted by someone she considered a friend. She was high on molly. She told Nicole Hsing and Alex Tchang. "My friend just had sex with me. I didn't really want to." The perpetrator was going to be at the same party the next day.
This event sits in the timeline between the Suki rejection and the deepening of the Gui relationship. The emotional context of that summer was compounded: startup stress at Taya, unrequited feelings, an assault by a trusted person, and an FWB relationship that offered physical comfort but not romantic commitment.
What It Means
Amy's romantic timeline is also a timeline of her relationship with vulnerability. Diego was safe until he wasn't. Suki taught her that wanting someone doesn't make them want you back. Gui taught her that sex can be separate from love. Nalin is the first person where all the pieces align and stay aligned, messily, with fights and apologies, but persistently.
The marriage mention at 13 months of dating is either very fast or exactly right, depending on whether you think people who've been through what Amy has been through know what they want.
